Home from Home
We are a small friendly guest house with 8 guest bedrooms located approximately 300m from the sea front, 5-10 minutes from the bus and train stations and central to the town, shops, restaurants and pubs.
We have one single bedroom that has a separate private bathroom located down the hallway, all our other rooms are En - Suite. We have four bedrooms located on the first floor which are standard double, king size, 1 child family room and single with private bathroom. We have four rooms located on the second floor which are 2 singles, the small double ( full sized double bed in a small room ) and 2 child family room.
All our guest rooms have comfortable beds, flatscreen TVs, tea & coffee making facilities, hand & bath towels and bath mats. There is an iron and Ironing board available upon request. we also have room fans, a childrens cot and high chair available upon request. Extra pillows and throws are available upon request and we are happy to provide glasses, plates and cutlery if you would like drinks or takeaway in your room or on the terrace outside.
All our rooms have up to date decoration which are central heated and prices include a full english breakfast or a lighter alternative. Vegetarians, vegans and other dietary requiaments are catered for on request. We also serve fruit ( seasonal ) and cereals for breakfast. Our dining room is located on the ground floor with the bedrooms on the first and second floor.
For special occasions we can offer guests flowers/champagne or wine for an additional cost delivered to your room. Sandwiches and toasties also available upon request for an additional cost.
If you wish to stay for a short or a long break we will endeavour to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as we can. We have a multiplex cinema on our sea front and a theatre just a short walk away. There are many things for all ages to do in Paignton, we have a pier, harbour, crazy golf, amusements, bars/restaurants, clubs, beach and shops are all a short distance from us or why not go for a day out on the Steam train which departs from the special station just off the main street in Paignton. Paignton zoo and splashdown water park are close by or you could always take a short bus ride and visit Kents Cavern, The Model Village or Living Coasts. Exeter and Plymouth are both roughly an hour away by train or why not try Exmouth which has a fantastic long beach and is only 1 1/2 hours away by direct train.
We operate a no smoking policy throughout the guest house with the most up to date fire alarm system. From May to October parking is restricted on our road but you can park in the multi - storey at the end of our road for approximately £10 for 24 hours but there are cheaper alternatives which we can go through if you call us. There are 3 day or 7 day parking passes available either from www.torbay.gov.uk/roads/parking. If you would like us to get a pass for you then we need a weeks notice to get one and if you ask for one then it is non - refundable. The passes we can get cover all Torbay Council pay and display car parks.
